What Makes Our CBD Hand Sanitizer Work So Well?

What Makes Our CBD Hand Sanitizer Work So Well? All G Essentials

People can be fickle in their reasons for purchasing one product over another. Some may tell you that they love the way this product feels, and others may say that they love the way that one smells. Still, others will take a scientific approach, explaining the benefits of the ingredients. But ALL G doesn’t believe you should have to choose between any of these qualities, and so we went all out, explaining why our CBD Hand Sanitizer Gel feels so good, smells so good, is so good for your skin and health, and above all, cleans hands so well!

Here’s why our CBD hand sanitizer works so well . . .

Ethyl Alcohol

Ethyl alcohol (ethanol) effectively kills viruses by breaking down cell walls. But hand sanitizers must contain at least 60% alcohol to kill germs, and those with an alcohol base between 60 – 95% are most effective. ALL G CBD Hand Sanitizer Gel contains 70% ethyl alcohol, and while this percentage is one of the highest on the market, follow these instructions for best results:

Apply a quarter-sized amount of sanitizer to the palm of the hand and thoroughly massage-in until hands are dry, approximately 25-30 seconds. Just like with hand washing, take your time.

Caveat: Alcohol-free sanitizers contain ingredients other than alcohol and are not effective in killing germs that can cause norovirus and coronavirus.

Glycerin

If you’re afraid that the high percentage of alcohol might dry your skin, fear not. ALL G hand sanitizer contains glycerin to counteract alcohol’s drying effect. Derived from vegetable oils or animal fats, glycerin has no color or odor, is an all-natural ingredient, and is often included in moisturizers. One of the most effective moisturizing agents, known as a humectant, glycerin pulls in moisture and holds it in the top layer of skin, giving it a soft, healthy look. In fact, glycerin has many benefits, including the following:

  • Provides a protective barrier against drying by hydrating the top layer of skin
  • Hides wrinkles and slows the appearance of aging
  • Improves skin’s function
  • Protects skin against irritation
  • Speeds the healing process

Hydrogen peroxide

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that hydrogen peroxide be included in sanitizer products, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contend that hydrogen peroxide effectively combats rhinovirus (the common cold) within six to eight minutes of exposure. Hydrogen peroxide is safe enough to use on your hands; it breaks down into oxygen and water.

Caveat: While the concentration of hydrogen peroxide found in consumer hand sanitizing solutions is safe, hydrogen peroxide should not be used straight from the bottle. High concentrations of hydrogen peroxide can badly irritate the skin.

Carbopol

Carbopol is widely used throughout the cosmetic industry to stabilize, suspend, and thicken gels, lotions, and creams made for the face, hair, body, and hands. It is also used as an emulsifier so that if a product contains water and oils, the two will not separate; instead the ingredients will remain amalgamated. Carbopol is safe, versatile, and provides ALL G Hand Sanitizing Gel with its consistently smooth, soft texture.

Triethanolamine

Another safe ingredient often included in cosmetics is triethanolamine. This ingredient is also an emulsifier and frequently used together with the water-soluble polymer Carbopol in cosmetic creams, lotions, and hand sanitizing gels. Carbopol is brought into the gelling process first. Then triethanolamine is added to neutralize the product, increase the pH, lessen the tension between the ingredients, and help them blend for a smooth and soothing feel.

Broad-spectrum CBD

CBD is a phytocannabinoid, one of the natural molecules produced by the hemp plant. There are actually more than 113 phytocannabinoids in the hemp plant, but most people are familiar with the two most researched: CBD and THC. Hemp doesn’t contain much THC and ALL G completely removes any THC from all its broad-spectrum products.

CBD has recently been rediscovered as an anti-inflammatory and pain reducer. The endocannabinoid receptors in skin happily receive the phytocannabinoid CBD relieving aches and pains. So if you’re hard on your hands and experience muscle soreness, you’ll receive the pain-relieving benefits of CBD every time you massage hand sanitizer gel into your hands.

Certificate of Analysis on every product

So we just did a breakdown of all the ingredients in our carefully formulated hand sanitizer gel. But the beauty of it is: you don’t have to take our word for it because we offer a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with every purchase, so you can see for yourself exactly what’s in your ALL G Hand Sanitizing Gel

Each batch of ALL G is product tested by an independent laboratory that explains what’s in your product, how potent your product is, AND importantly, what’s not in your product– like residual contaminants and fillers. And checking it is easy, just click here for instructions on how to receive your free Certificate of Analysis on any ALL G product.
